Damien Faughnan coaches Fortune 500 CEOs and c-suite executives to accelerate their success.
For over a decade, Damien has worked with CEOs and c-suite executives, helping them to quickly assess where they stand in their leadership journey and determine what skills and knowledge are necessary to succeed. For leaders transitioning into a new role, he astutely helps to shape their entry with authenticity, focus, and strength.
Damien’s coaching specialty is working with new CEOs and CEO Candidates. This work involves supporting leaders in building plans for success rather than learning by trial and error.
Grounded in a deep sense of purpose, Damien is dedicated to enriching the lives of his clients, their companies, and the larger world. He draws on a wealth of unique experience gained from coaching leaders in many industries as well as his commitment to his own professional development.
Damien creates a trusting and confidential long-term relationship with his clients. He listens, challenges assumptions, and acts as an objective thought partner to expose and enable new perspectives. His clients describe him as both a strategic thinker and mentor who has a unique ability to rapidly understand and simplify complex issues.
Damien was born, raised, and educated in Ireland. He spent seven of his formative years in a monastery and his first career was in teaching. He has lived in the United States for twenty-five years and, in his earlier business career, he rose to multiple brokerage and technology leadership roles at Charles Schwab.
He has served on two non-profit boards and actively supports causes including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, animal welfare, and civil rights.
Damien holds Masters Degrees in Instructional Technology (San Francisco State University) and Equality Studies (University College Dublin). He received his coach training at the Hudson Institute, Santa Barbara and the Strozzi Institute, Petaluma. He is ranked in the list of Top 100 Global Executive Coaches.
Damien has been a very thoughtful advisor with specific, actionable recommendations that are very relevant to my ongoing development. His candid and direct feedback was contextual to my circumstances and not “generic” in nature at all. In addition to the professional advice directly related to the engagement, he has also been a valuable personal confidant and advisor on many of the overall issues associated with the ever-evolving nature of CEO-Board relations.
I have tremendously valued our teamwork and partnership on this and I highly recommend Damien to any CEO who considers working with him.
