Sign-up Forms

We use a third party service called MailChimp to keep the email address and name you gave us when you signed up to receive our newsletter and blog posts. You were offered the opportunity to unsubscribe immediately, and offered to unsubscribe every time you receive an email from us. In our newsletter, there will be links to coaching services or publications. If you click on the links in the newsletter or these emails, your information might be held on the sites you visit. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we will collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Nobody that we are aware of has access to any data you share on here. We don’t sell it or share it. If you use a link on this site to purchase something from somewhere else, such as Amazon, you’ll see their Privacy Policy. If you contact us via this website, your information is only kept in our email programs.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any comments and follow-up comments.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

In our newsletter, there will be links to webinars, podcasts, and videos that feature Damien Faughnan, and to the books he has authored and updated. We will rarely (maybe 2 or 3 times a year) send you a dedicated email about a special program featuring Damien Faughnan or when he publishes a new book. If you click on the links in the newsletter or these emails, your information might be held on the sites you visit. Please read their Privacy Policy to know how your information will be used.

If you use our Contact Us form, we will receive your name, mailing address and phone number so we can contact you as requested. If we keep it, it will only remain on our personal computer in saved emails. Your information will not be kept in digital files that can be accessed by anyone else. If you want us to delete anything, let us know.

What data breach procedures we have in place

We use Wordfence Security and Anti-Spam by CleanTalk. We don’t keep things on the main computer. All of our backup files are in the cloud and are encrypted prior to sending them to the Cloud. Our database is kept and protected by MailChimp.

What automated decision-making and/or profiling we do with user data

None. We keep your updates from the blog if you signed up for an RSS feed or updates. That’s it.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

Damien is not going to disclose your personal data, unless your employer requires it, or you are subject to some legal/regulatory requirements, where your right to confidentiality is waived.
